Miley Cyrus is again making the news with her bad girl behavior. The singer was seen twerking and smoking a joint at the MTV Europe Music Awards, according to USA Today.
Miley won the best video award for the hit song “Wrecking Ball.” Other notable performers were Katy Perry and Eminem. Miley opened the show singing We Can’t Stop. Miley wore a silver spandex leotard, with her gorilla fur arms while she twerked on stage.
Marijuana is openly used in “coffee shops” and smokers won’t be prosecuted for having small amounts in the Netherlands. Cyrus wore pot leaf emblems on her headphones during a live version of Wrecking Ball. Miley has long since ditched her goody-two-shoes image of Hannah Montana. She arrived in Amsterdam the Friday before the show, and apparently enjoyed the marijuana culture “at the Greenhouse coffee shop downtown with several other stars.”
Katy Perry was suspended from wires while green lasers bounced off of her mirrored dress while she sang the song Unconditional. Eminem went off the top “spitting out words at a blistering pace,” as he performed Rap God. Eminem released a new album, and is back with a bang, winning the best hip hop award.
The MTV Europe Music Awards generally exposes global music acts, but as several stars from the U.S. won in top categories, American Music dominated the show. The Space aged and intergalactic themed show will also be broadcast in the U.S.
