The issues of one person biting another and tearing off flesh continue to mount in the United States recently. This time, the story comes from New Haven, Connecticut, where a reported wig thief punched and then bit the owner of a wig store when the thief was chased by the store’s owner. The suspect, Lowpel Davis, attempted to steal a wig from Sassy Beauty Supply Shop, according to police in New Haven. The owner of the store, Jongyol Lee, and his father, 70, chased Davis.
Lee told the police that during the chase, Davis punched both men in the face and then bit Lee in the arm. The bite was so hard that Davis tore flesh from the arm and then spit the flesh in Lee’s face.
“The length of a full block she just kept hitting me and smacking the back of my head,” Lee said. “She kicked me a few times in my back.”
According to the police, Davis continued to struggle even while she was handcuffed. She repeatedly flailed around while being restrained on the ground.
“When somebody is caught stealing like that usually they are shamed publicly, they drop it and leave,” said Lee, “but in this case she continued on her way. We’ve been trying not to get involved like this, but emotions sometimes get heated, sometimes you can’t walk away.”
