The atrocities carried out due to a political fight between the present President Alassane Ouattara and former president Laurent Gbagbo has brought shame internationally on the country and Ivory Coast prosecutor’s office has begun the process of investigation and issued warrants to many aides of the former government. Gbagbo refused to leave the office in spite of being defeated in the elections and Ouattara had to use forces which resulted in a fight lasting months together.
