A spokesman for Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal confirmed today that the firm has laid off some associates but has not verified a number. This comes on top of the companies decision back in May to reduce base salaries for associates and move toward a performance based compensation plan.
Sonnenschein is meeting with its staff later today but there are no staff layoffs anticipated.
Sonnenschein is an international law firm headquartered in Chicago with 13 offices and 800 attorneys around the world. They have a general practice covering most areas of law.
